100 Thousand Poets For Change.
100 Thousand Poets for Change is a global annual initiative. It was founded by an environmental activist named Michael Rothenberg. He is a widely recognized songwriter, poet and editor of the online literary magazine Bigbridge.org. He resides in Northern California. 100 Thousand Poets for Change is a historical event, it is said to be the largest poetry venture in history.
There are numerous events being organised in September 2017 globally. There are 29 in India, 7 in Nigeria, 17 in Canada, 19 in Great Britain, 5 in China, 3 in Cuba and over 220 events in the United States. More than 600 events are slated to manifest.
100 Thousand Poets For Change in Kingston Jamaica, is slated for September 30.2017.The objective is to honor the Spoken Word in creative ways while raising awareness about how women and children are being treated in the world. 100 Thousand Poet for Change is sponsored and organised by Spoken Artist Mojiba Ase -Count Ossie Pickney. Mojiba will be releasing her 1st Spoken Art Spirited Album in 2017. The team- Wordliners Ink includes Clifton Neil, Writer, Poet, Host, Amaziyah the Great -Poet, Film Maker, Graphics Artist/Promoter and Comfitanya Lounge has made the vision and mission of 100 TPFC a reality. The best of the best spirit chosen poets, orators, performers and singers are anticipating an immortal gathering. The line up includes Fikre Selassie, Rowen Johnson, Amaziyah The Great, Clifton Neil, The Mighty Ginsu, Van Jackdon, Divi D, The Grei Show, Lyoness Dionne, Iyoka, Mbala Mgabo, Charlie Bobus, Mav'rick, Wise Wurdz, Mojiba and Surprise guest artistst! Open Mic begins at 7pm and Show time commence at 8pm. It will be a potent, refreshing, insightful, Poetical, Spiritual, Heartical, Phenomenal vibration.
