A documentary that turns the spotlight on the disability community, done by Marion Myrie, a young Jamaican social activist, and filmmaker, has been selected for two international film festivals, the Paris Lift-Off Film Festival, and The Lift-Off Sessions at Pinewood Studios in the UK, both of which help new filmmakers get a foot in the door of the industry. Ms. Myrie who has a Masters in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change from the UWI decided to produce the documentary after noticing the plight of the disability community in Jamaica, and the need for greater advocacy.
